10 May

a.k.a. Cupcake lesson FOUR

I know I know, Easter has come and gone, but I realised I hadn’t shared my cupcake creations for Easter / Spring with you yet! And it’s still spring (although judging from the weather, you’d think it’s fall allready). So here’s some sunshine and smiles for you, Enjoy!

Fashion find: convertible dresses

7 Mar

Your closet is full, but you have nothing to wear. Sounds familiar?

These multi-functional wrap dresses just may be the answer. They generally come in a range of colours and/or fabrics. And with a manual 🙂

It’s like having 10-20 dresses in one!

Inspiration, incoming!

An excellent fluff shaver

8 Feb

* A paper tissue hid in your washing and now your black dress pants have white fluff all over! *

You know the problem, right? We all have it 😉

Here’s (one of) my casualties. I use it as a ballet-short to put over tights, but yes, it is in fact underwear.

Not a pretty sight…

LUCKILY

I stumbled upon this little gadget in the shops yesterday: “the fluff remover”

I remember my mom used to have one of these, to bring our uniform skirts back to life. And at €1,99 (Kruidvat), I just had to have my own fluff shaver.

And… works like a charm!

This is where you go!

Beautylish.com collected some of the greatest (and prettiest) nails on the web.

I’ll definitly be trying the newspaper nails and marble art.

Have you tried any of these?

Your inner ballerina

3 Nov

First position, pink tutu’s, satin slippers, plié, Swan Lake, Tchaikovsky, tendu…

Ballet is so stylish and good for your figure. And since Black Swan, it’s all the rage again!

I used to take ballet when I was little. And this trimester, I decided to put on my tutu again. We didn’t have class this week because of vacation, so I browsed Youtube to find some ballet class- and dreammaterial.

Here’s some of the videos I found. Enjoy!

Ballet class

Dancescenes “Adult ballet dvd” series is a great workout. They have plies, battement tendus, battement glisses, stretches and more. Good stuff.

tells you how to do stretches. But warm up first!

has some great tips to improve your flexibility. Not only for cheerleading. Now, I just wish I could do this.

Dream on

The Anaheim ballet Youtube channel is really a must-see. So go watch it!

This is how pointe shoes are (un)made. I never danced on pointes. When is it too late to start?

I don’t care that she didn’t do all of the ballet scenes, you can’t expect anybody to become a professional ballerina in just a year. Kudos to Natalie, Mila and Sarah Lane.

Happy Halloween!

The perfume quest

21 Sep

My favourite perfume (well ok, eau de toilette, actually) is no more.

Some time ago, after much searching and sniffing, and with a little help, I finally found THE PERFECT PERFUME. For me, that was Hugo Boss Intense.

(image via Google)

But since a while, it’s been taken out of the shops. Drama!

I have tried a few searches to find a new perfume/eau de toilette for daily wear, but I tend to get completely nauseous and headachy. So I need your tips and tricks! If any of you knew the late Intense and know of a similar scent, please tell me.

I also like Noa, Eternity Moment, Miracle and the Lolita Lempicka perfume (but not every day, cause it’s really heavy). These are great, but just not perfect for my daily wear.

What’s your favourite perfume?

Do you wear the same one every day or do you have loads?

How do you shop for a new scent?

xoxo
